Join us at our May 2024 Open House Events

Attendees will have the opportunity to tour campus, participate in program focused workshops, interact with current students and gain insight from talented AMDA Alumni during a Q&A session. Speaking of AMDA Alumni, we are thrilled to announce the panel members for our upcoming Open Houses in Los Angeles and New York!

Los Angeles Campus Open House

Open House on our Los Angeles campus will be held on Saturday, May 11th and will feature AMDA alums Jarvis B. Manning Jr. & Allison Sheppard as panel members.

Jarvis B. Manning Jr. (he/him) is a graduate of the Integrated Conservatory in New York. Jarvis is a native of Houston, Texas who has performed on Broadway in Motown the Musical, Ain't Too Proud: The Life and Times of The Temptations, and most recently in Some Like It Hot as a member of the ensemble and understudy for “Jerry/Daphne.” Jarvis has toured North America in Motown the Musical, Ain’t Too Proud, and The Backyardigans, and has performed regionally in Bubbling Brown Sugar (Broward Stage Door Theater), 5 Guys Named Moe (Black Spectrum Theatre Co. INC), Hairspray, Hello Dolly, Footloose (Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre), and Ragtime (Surflight Theater). His TV/film credits include Law and Order: SVU and The Purgatory of Ghosts and Grief. Jarvis is also a talented natural light photographer and founder/creator of BrainART Photography. 

Allison Sheppard (she/her) received her BFA in Musical Theatre on AMDA’s LA campus. Allison is a native of Costa Mesa, California. She made her National Tour debut as “Bella” in Jagged Little Pill and has performed regionally in Stranger Things: The Drive-Into Experience (ROW DTLA), Shrek (3D Theatricals), The Secret Garden (3D Theatricals), Into The Woods (3D Theatricals), and Phantom (Fort Salem Theater). She is a regular performer with Disney Live Entertainment and has performed in Mickey’s Soundsational Parade, A Christmas Fantasy Parade, The Main Street Electrical Parade, Fantasmic!, and Dancing with Disney (Disneyland).

New York Campus Open House

Open House on our New York campus will be held on Saturday, May 18th and will feature alums Maria Bilbao & Sky Lakota-Lynch as panel members.

Maria Bilbao (she/her) is a graduate of the Integrated Conservatory in New York. Maria is a native of Miami, Florida. Before moving to New York City to study at AMDA, she performed at Miami Children’s Theater and Miami Stage Company. She made her Broadway debut as “Johanna” in the 2023 Broadway revival of Sweeney Todd. She recently starred as "Marela" in Anna in the Tropics at Bay Street Theater Festival and in various productions at Bucks County Playhouse, Portland Center Stage, Westchester Broadway Theatre, Aurora Theatre, and Transcendence Theatre Company.

Anastacia McCleskey (she/they) is a seasoned Broadway performer, appearing in 8 productions including Waitress, Caroline, or Change, Tarzan, Hair, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, The Book of Mormon, Violet, and presently as Mary Church Terrell in Suffs. Recognized with nominations for Helen Hayes, Alliance, and Audelco Awards, Anastacia has starred in several celebrated Off-Broadway and regional productions including The Secret Life of Bees and The Color Purple. On television, she has made guest star appearances in “New Amsterdam" and "The Good Fight" to name a few. Anastacia's talents extend to film, podcast, and cabaret work, enriching audiences across mediums with her spirited presence.
